will be taking a four day drive looping through nebraska and south dakota. i'm more interested in getting a little taste of the midwest than hitting up mt. rushmore or other touristy attractions. any suggestions on small towns, good/safe side roads, and super cheap lodging? i'm travelling alone, so i don't want to camp. any hostels? cheap motels?
i heard taking hwy 2 through nebraska is a gorgeous alternative. feedback?
small towns/ back roads in ne & sd?
