I am considering a trip to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park. I will be traveling with my husband probably in mid to late September. I would appreciate any personal recommendations of lodging options. We like a great view, quiet, nearby walking areas, small kitchenette, private bath, and tend towards the high end properties. We would prefer to be in an adult focused lodging. Thank you.

i can add much because i was only in the area once but i stayed at a nice hotel in traverse city, right on the beach. it was quite (i was there in september too)
What was the name of your hotel, ltt?
If you want to stay in Traverse City, I can highly recommend The Tamarack Lodge. It is my favorite place to stay in Traverse City -- right on Grand Traverse Bay and definitely upscale. The website is tamaracklodgetc.com
Have fun!
thank you so much, mikesmom. I expect we will at least overnight there because our flights will be in and out of that airport.
You might also try The Homestead right in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. They have different lodging types -both inn and condo choices.
