I have read some other messages about skipping the last leg of your return flight but need some clarification on our itinerary. There are 5 people traveling round trip from stl to lim with a layover in atl using Delta. W e bought all the tickets on one confirmation and used one credit card. One of the passengers needs to travel to phl on our return date and doesn't want to fly to stl . He would like to buy a ticket from atl to phl and skip the atl to stl. Would this do anything to the other 4 passengers flights? Thanks

Interesting question & I can't say I know a definitive answer.
I really can't see how it would affect the 4 pax flying ATL to STL. Everyone will have their own boarding pass, and there is no requirement that all 5 board the plane together. I'm thinking "So what if one of you doesn't board?"
Baggage. On some airlines a group all checking in together will have all the bags tagged under one person's name. You may want to be sure passenger X checks their bag in separately. Since you'll need to retrieve bags in ATL for customs, passenger X can just remove the tag that says STL and recheck the bag to PHL, so it may be a moot point.
Thanks for the reply. I was thinking the exact same thing. I hope it works because I don't want any unexpected charge on my credit card.
