Siesta Key, Florida in June

First time visit to Siesta Key, FL this coming June. I'm looking for a nice, clean, mid-priced hotel or condo on the beach. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

How many more times will you ask the same question?

If you aren't getting enough responses here on fodors check out rates and reviews on www.tripadvisor.com.

Why Siesta Key?.. Go to Clearwater Beach which is more popular which means more people and better restaurants, hotels etc.

I'll post the question as many times as I like. Why do you care how many times I post? If you notice my first question involved only inquiring about a hotel. I've decided a condo would work as well and decided to repost.

Just curious what makes Clearwater Beach more popular? I have spent a good deal of time at Longboat, Lido, Siesta and Anna Maria Island and love them all for different reasons. Siesta has always been my fav because of the endless walks on fine white sugary sand. I'm up for a new beach though...

Maybe I missed something, but we were in Clearwater last year for 2 nights after a week in Siesta Key and I was very unimpressed with Clearwater. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Sunspree and the beach along that stretch is nonexistent at points. You can't walk the beach because it doesn't exist at points where the hotels sit right on the water. We did go down to the public beach which in my opinion was nothing more that your typical public beach. The only thing that Clearwater has over Siesta Key is that there are more hotels.

...and I kind of think of more hotels as a negative rather than a positive due to the larger numbers of people on the beach. But more restaurants would be nice.
