Side trip to Jamestown/Yorktown

Side trip to Jamestown/Yorktown
Ill be spending a week in Va/DC and plan on taking a day to see the Jamestown Settlement and Yorktown. Could I do both sites in one day, leaving from Williamsburg in the morning??

Yes. Yorktown is an easy stop at the VC, drive/walk to the military sites type place. Jamestown had an ongoing archeological dig going on, glassblowers, etc. I would spend an hour or two in Yorktown, more in Jamestown unless military history is your passion.

There are also two Yorktown sites--
Yorktown Victory Center has a museum with a history of the Revolution, a military camp reenactment, and a colonial farm reenactment:

And the Yorktown Battlefield (run by the National Park Service) has a visitor's center:
