shuttle from SF Airport to Napa?

Is there a shuttle bus from San Francisco Airport to Napa and back to San Francisco? We want to take a day trip to Napa to ride the wine train, but we'd rather not rent a car if possible.

Hi sandypaws3, there sure is a shuttle from SFO to Napa.

The name of the bus company is Evans Airport Service, Inc. Their phone no. is 707-255-1559. They start pick up from SFO around 6:10am to drop off at SFO 10:20pm (everday except Sat. which drop off at SFO is 9:00pm.

The times inbetween are about 1:45 minutes to 2 hours.

The pickup points at SFO is at the lower level, center island, across the street from Baggage Claim at the blue concrete columns.

The only stop they make each way is in Vallejo. They allow two suitcases and one carry-on per person.

You do have to make reservations so do call them for that. And once you have a reservation if your plane is late in arriving you can then catch their next bus. Just tell the driver that you had reservations for such and such time and missed their bus as your plane was late.

Large, clean busses and wonderful drivers. Baggage is put in the baggage hold at the bottom of the bus.

In Napa they deliver you to 4075 Solano Ave., between Trower and Wine Country Avenues.

BTW, it is about one and one half hours each way (depending on traffic of course).

Have a fun time!!

Thanks to both of you for the great information I have plenty of time to plan this trip, but never having been there, I'll need it. My in-laws lived in Napa for a short time, but I have never been there.
