Shopping in Arizona

We're 3 Canadian girls (60+/-yrs old) flying to Scottsdale for girl time - shopping, sightseeing, eating, drinking wine - it will be a great time but it's only for 5 days so there won't be a long time dedicated for shopping but would like to try an outlet mall and also we heard about Fashion Centre. does anyone have any recommendations for an outlet mall close to Scottsdale. We are also looking for nice but casual restaurants! Would love to hear some ideas for any of you gals out there. Thanks a lot!

Fashion Square is the shopping center you mean, not Fashion Center.

I don't think there are any outlet malls near Scottsdale. A new one just opened in Glendale, about 25-30 miles to the west.

Where are you staying in Sottsdale?

Arizona Mills in Tempe and Anthem outlet in Anthem are two outlets i know about. Both of these would be at least half an hour away by car depending on where you are staying.

There are some great Happy Hours in Scottsdale, Phoenix area. We like Brio, Blue Martini, Roy's at the JW Marriott in Desert Ridge. You can make a meal of the appetizers. Prices are exceptional compared to what we pay here in Canada.

I love to take friends who are visiting us down there to Kierland Commons and Scottsdale Quarter just to walk around and look in all the stores. There are some lovely shops like Chico's, J Crew, Tommy Bahama, Pottery Barn and many more. Lots of different restaurants also. My favourite is Cheesecake Factory but go hungry...huge portions.

Fashion Square Mall is huge but every store you can imagine. I also like to wander through the Biltmore Fashion Mall.

Lunch or dinner at the Wrigley Mansion is nice. Great views of the city and they do a tour of the mansion which is interesting.

Hope this has helped.

If you have never been to one, there's an IKEA too.
