We love sitting on our balcony and watching the activity around the resort. I made a request for building 6, up on Black rock and am glad we didn't get it. Up there I think all that you would see is the ocean.
We are in 3326, and deemed it's location quite perfect. We are on the same level as the lobby (no elevator to take) and look over the lawn, the pool and then the ocean. We can see the torches and last night watched the man lighting the torch from our balcony as we sipped a cocktail make with stuff from our mini-fridge.
Awww.........
We leave today (we've been here 5 nights), and check into the Hyatt
after 1. I am hoping for an ocean view or something as we are spoiled now!
You will like the Sheraton alot.
Ok, now back to my latte and my balcony!

beachkomer-We requested an oceanfront room in Bldg.4, and for the same reasons as you, we hope we are not upgraded to Bldg. 6. Although the rooms are a bit larger, the rooms seem too far from the pool area and beach.
What do you think of the breakfast at the Sheraton, and do you have any recommendations on restaurants?

We only had breakfast at the Sheraton on the morning of the earthquake..(go back and see my post by clicking on my name).
The breakfast at the Sheraton was great, but pretty pricey. We didn't get the buffet and our bill was still over $50 for the two of us. After that we just got latte in the lobby and a muffin and ate it on our balcony. Nice!
There is a frig in the room which we loaded with OJ, soda, beer, etc;
We ate mostly at Whaler's village:
Hula grill and Leilani's (?spelling)
Both good, fun, very busy. Also we had lunch at Kimo's in Lahina (good!) and Bubba Gump, (I know, but we were starving! It wasn't bad). We did have dinner on night at the Sheraton, and it was good. We got salads and split and entree (it was late). It was very good. I sound repetative, sorry!
You will like the Sheraton. There are things we miss about the Sheraton over the Hyatt. I will start a new post to
give a trip report, but if you have questions about the Sheraton, I will answer them!
