SF Giants
Hi
I am travelling to San Francisco in September and hoping to watch my first ever baseball game at AT&T stadium
Can anyone advise where is a good place to sit in the stadium?
Also, is the stadium easily accessible by public transport?
Thanks everyone

The stadium is a breeze to access by public transportation, or by walking (depending on where you're starting out).
I can tell you where good seats are (we share season tickets with a group), but please first tell me your price range and how many tickets you need.
Lastly, have you checked the schedule to be sure they will be in town when you're here?

Go to www.mlb.com to find the Giants' schedule for September. You'll also find a seating chart there.
Have fun! San Francisco is one of my favorite cities.

Hi, thanks for your replies.
There is definately a game on while we are in town, against Arizona I believe.
We need two tickets for the game, and don't mind how much tickets cost - I guess anywhere up to about $70-80?? It's probably the one and only time we will be in the US to and able to watch a game, so we would rather pay for it and enjoy every moment!

The highest-price ticket (face value) is $75. I checked the Giants website for the Arizona series on Sept 8-9-10 and the best seats available (other than going through StubHub, or Craigslist) are $68 plus ticketing fees. They are one level up, on the third base side, in fact, pretty even with third base. They are very good seats.
First thing you have to decide though is whether to go to a day game (Sept. 10) or a night game (Sept. 8 and 9).
As I said, if you want even better seats, you might be able to find some on Craigslist, for example

(Note that I think these seats are too low down -- I prefer the perspective of being a little higher up -- my seats are in Row 14)

These are higher up (row 29) but closer to home plate:

Had my family to a game there one night last August. Whoever recommended dressing warmly is right. I've been more comfortable in Fairbanks in the dead of winter than I was that night.
As for seating, next time I'll try for tickets somewhere along the first baseline. I imagine it's not as windy/cold there, and I'm thinking those seats also have a Bay Bridge view.

I'd opt for the day game on 9/10.
That said, we use StubHub often
and have had excellent experiences with them. Our fave place to sit are Field Club Section 110 & 112
or Lower Box Sections 110 &112.
If you sit in the Filed Club sections you will be in the sun.
If you chose seats in the back half rows of the Lower Box sections you will be under a overhang.
There are good seats in your price range still available.
