Settle Restaurant for both vegetarians & non-vegetarians
I've been reading some great advice here on Seattle restaurants. Does anyone have a recommendation for a place that is good for both vegetarians & non-vegetarians? Doesn't have to be downtown Seattle, could be anywhere, even eastside or up towards Everett.. We live locally so no worries about how to get there, days open, etc. Looking for someplace special but not excessively expensive.
Thanks!!

We're looking for a place that serves meat & fish but also has some vegetarian options. Will check into Cactus (not sure if we want Mexican) and Alligator Soul (I'd love Southern cooking but not sure if the rest of my party would). Has anyone been to Chanterelle's in Edmonds?

Try Bizzarro Italian Cafe in Wallingford.

Several vegetarian choices; lots of stuff for meat eaters too. I thought the forest floor frenzy was really great - homemade pasta, and didn't skimp on the mushrooms! The fig bruschetta was excellent as well. My meat eating friends ate lasagna and clam linguine, and both said they would probably order the same thing next time.
Bizzarro has a quirky interior, but is billed as romantic (though I think it's a little loud for romance). Beware that the tables are somewhat close together.

Cafe Flora on Madison (near the Arboretum/Lake Washington Blvd) is very nice. I think it could serve as a "special occasion" place. I like Cactus in Madison Park as well.
But really I think any good restaurant in Seattle will have several vegetarian items on the menu. I can't imagine not these days. Most places have menus posted online so you can check them out in advance.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. From experience we've found vegetarian options at meat/fish restaurants limited. Fettucine, eggplant, & salads get old after a while! Since the vegetarians in our party have discriminating tastes, the carnivours have agreed to compromise & we'll go to a full vegetarian restaurant. Thinking about Cafe Flora or Carmelita, any opinions?

I would choose Cafe Flora over Carmelita, but not by a huge gap.
Have you been to the Bamboo Garden across from Seattle Center on Roy? All-vegetarian Chinese, with astonishing faux meat dishes - crispy "duck" skin etc. Not fancy but a hoot - huge menu.

Funny...I would choose Carmelita (for dinner) over Cafe Flora. I love brunch at Cafe Flora but thought dinner there was just average.
If you want something really unique and fully vegetarian, try Sutra in Wallingford. I've been there twice and love it. The tables seat 4 each (but could be pushed together) so if you don't have 4 in your party then you may dine with strangers. The restaurant is very small and service is very friendly. They are passionate about their food, and it is fabulous.
