Sequoia & Kings Canyon NPs - Lodging Inside Park vs Outside Park?

Jump to last reply

DH and I will be in the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks from May 4 until May 6 and we are wrestling with whether to stay outside the park or inside the park.

If we stayed in the Three Rivers area, how much driving would it be to go back and forth from the main sights in the parks? Would it be worth it to stay inside the park, maybe in Wuksachi or somewhere like that? I don't mind staying outside the park to save some money, but not if we're going to spend a large portion of our time driving back and forth over the same roads.

Thanks for any advice!
