SEPTA Phila Airport to 30th St Station
Hi,
Just trying to get an idea of timing here to tell family members when to expect me (I'm catching a train from 30th Street Station). How easy is it to take the SEPTA Train to 30th Street Station once the plane has landed in PHL (my plane lands in Terminal F). I assume things are well-marked on how to get to the SEPTA station platform once baggage is claimed? From the baggage claim to platform, about a 5 to 10 minute walk? Does one have to wait awhile to get a SEPTA ticket or is that process fast? SEPTA's site says 20 minutes from the Airport to 30th Street Station; wishful thinking or generally the case?
Thank you!
Daniel

I always use SEPTA to get to/from the airport--it's easy and fast. Trains leave the airport twice an hour, so wait isn't long. The train is just outside baggage claim, 5 minutes should do it.
You used to need cash to buy your ticket, and it was only available on the train, but I read they will have kiosks selling tickets soon, if not now.
I never paid attention to how long the trip is, but 20 minutes sounds about right.

I wait until I get on a train at 30th, then check the schedule before I call/text my ride at the station near home:

Elberko-- it was pretty straightforward. Just followed the signs for "ground transportation"; I notice the train has a few stops for different terminals. On SEPTA now...thanks again; I think I would have been too shy to board if I hadn't known that there was no kiosk for paying and that you pay only once on board. Good thing I happen to have the $8!
