Sedona in June?

Hi! My husband and I are thinking about going to Sedona in June of this year (celebrating my big 5-0 birthday!). We have lots of Hilton points, and there seems to be a nice Hilton Resort there. We would go for about 5 nights probably.

We'd spend one day driving and exploring the Grand Canyon. The other days would be spent between exploring and relaxing at the pools at the resort.

I've been looking at some websites, and it seems like Sedona is really beautiful. We've been to the Phoenix/Scottsdale area, but never to Sedona.

Is this area as beautiful as it seems to be? Are there lots of restaurants in the area. We might be able to do some short hikes. I've ben sick and am not able to do what we'd normally do (long hikes, etc.), but I think we can do some short hikes.

Any more suggestions or advice for Sedona in June? Thanks!

Sedona is absolutely spectacular. Yes, it is as beautiful as it seems to be. There are lots of restaurants. Plenty of options for short hikes.

Be sure to take a Pink Jeep tour. Their Broken Arrow tour is the most popular.

Take a ride in the bi-plane. Just before sunset is a great time to go.

We stayed at Enchantment a few years ago, celebrating an anniversary. The restaurant there is excellent with incredible views. Happy Birthday!

I'll probably get slammed.

The town of Sedona is a bunch of T-shirt stores, a few art galleries and restaurants that for the most part close at 9PM.

Then you list your head and look around the outside of the town and it's spectacular.

There are quite a few relatively easy hikes that are very scenic.

I would stay overnight one night if you want to see the Grand Canyon. It is a long day trip, and the sunsets and sunrises are spectacular. It is late to reserve at the park but many people find that there are cancellations if they keep checking back

Myer is right -- the "main drag" in Sedona is lined with tee shirt and souvenir shops. But off the main drag,Tlaquepaque is a nice shopping area with art galleries and restaurants, and there are other galleries sprinkled around. The red rock scenery is stunning. Drive up Oak Creek Canyon. Have lunch or dinner at Enchantment Resort (you will need to make a reservation ahead of time to get into the resort). We also like Heartline Cafe. Would also suggest overnighting at the Grand Canyon, if you can.

Thanks for all the info! We have officially booked everything: We'll fly from Atlanta to Phoenix and then drive to Sedona. We'll spend 4 nights in Sedona, then drive to GC and spend one night. Then the last night we'll drive back down to Scottsdale and spend one night. Then next day fly home. Can't wait to start planning everything. Thanks so much for all the help.
