We have been to Sedona three times and have said we would love to spend a month there. Thinking of Feb., March or April 2010. Looking for a one or two-bedroom condo or villa with great views. Have checked VRBO and would love some suggestions from Fordors. Thanks.
Sedona for a month

Can't help with a VRBO but for timing I'd pick April or maybe mid-March to mid-April. Great time to be in the desert southwest. February is pretty cold at times.
Thanks Bill, would May be even better?
would May be even better?
It would depend on your preferences for temperature, and perhaps on whether you will be doing side trips either south to the low deserts or north to the Grand Canyon and other high country areas.
Elevation at Sedona is about 4,400 ft and *average* temps are roughly 65/36 F (March), 73/42 (April), and 82/49 (May). If you are 'escaping' from a cold winter up north then maybe the March temps are fine, but if you wish something a bit warmer then April or May would be better.
If you are planning on side trips to the low desert areas (Phoenix, Tucson, etc) then March would be best for those places, which are about 12-15 F warmer than Sedona due to the lower elevation. If you were planning on spending time higher up, say Grand Canyon or the south Utah parks, then April or May would provide better weather up north.
April is probably the single best month to combine a visit to Sedona and the low deserts and the high country, if you wanted to see it all. Chance of snow up high, especially early in April, but generally it's sunny, cool and brisk up high and perfect in the low deserts. IMHO ...
Thanks for the info. We will probably go to the Grand Canyon but not the low desert areas. One more question: Do you prefer West Sedona area over Oak Creek?
