Sedona, Az and St. George, Utah
#2
I'm not sure why you started a second thread for this.
I'm also not sure why you're fixed on St george, UT.
In the area you have two major national parks: Zion and Bryce.
Zion is beautiful and Bryce is one of a kind.
You have told us very little about when you're planning to go or what your interests or capabilities are.
For me, Bryce has one or two hikes of interest and a spectacular sunrise. About 30-45 minutes from bryce is a real slot canyon. Though the drive to Willis Creek is an adventure, the hike is very easy.
While I really don't think Zion is a sunrise / sunset place, it has a lot of beautiful hikes.
About Sedona. In my opinion the actual town of Sedona isn't much. Art galleries, t-shirt stores and restaurants that close at 9PM. However, the surrounding Red Rock mountains provide a lot of beautiful hiking opportunities.
