SEDONA, ARIZONA

Hello, looking for a nice "boutique" hotel in Sedona, w/scenic views, maybe away from immediate 'uptown' (or is it 'downtown?) shopping areas. Under $200 per night? We'd prefer a little more quiet, with scenery, as we'll have a car & can drive to shopping areas. (but, do not want to be too far from everything) We are 3 women, staying Thurs / Fri night in Sedona , drive Sat morning to Grand Canyon, will need a hotel recommendation there also. I've been told when we leave Grand Canyon on Sunday , that traffic is heavy on the interstate back to Phoenix on Sunday night. We'll need hotel for Sunday night, not sure if we should go all the way to Phoenix, but, maybe we should as our
flight leaves for home on Monday 12:30pm from Phoenix. Lots of info on Fodors & hotel websites, but, just when I think 2 or 3 reviews of a hotel sound good, there are others that don't. But, appreciate the honesty! thanks everyone. Never been to this part of the country, don't know what to expect, thanks!

We enjoy staying at the Sedona Rouge Hotel & Spa Resort its a boutique with a great restaurant, heavenly beds with great linens..great steam/dry sauna and they don't charge, which is nice.
I got a great deal on Expedia for under $100 but that was in February.
Try direct as well.
Do have lunch at the Yavapai restaurant at the stunning Enchantment Resort..

At the Grand Canyon, I strongly suggest you stay inside the park, but those rooms book up quickly. I like the cabins at Bright Angel, or the rooms at the El Tovar. When is this trip?

I agree with the advice re lodging at the Grand Canyon. I also agree with the advice re dining at Enchantment Resort. While Enchantment is an expensive resort, I would suggest checking out the overnight rates. If it is possible for all three of you to stay in one room and if that would be affordable with two of you sleeping in one queen/king bed and the third person in a rollaway bed, I would encourage you to do this. Enchantment is in its own canyon with scenic views, downward lighting on the paths so the stars shine brightly in the night sky and superb food.
