Seattle stay before cruising
There will be 4 of us going on an Alaskan cruise out of Seattle. It is our first time there and need a recommendation as to where to stay to get a true Seattle experience. We like sightseeing, walking, food and drink. In our late 50's.
Would like to stay under $300 a night.

Many of Seattle’s hotels are clustered within a .3-mile walk from 5th Avenue and Pine, which is the heart of Seattle’s retail and entertainment core. They include Hotel Max, The Camlin, Hyatt at Olive 8, The Westin, The Sheraton, The Warwick, Hotel Andra, The Mayflower Park, The Grand Hyatt, The Paramount, The Roosevelt, The Motif, Candela Hotel, The Hilton, The Fairmont Olympic Hotel, W Hotel Seattle, Inn at the Market, and The Vintage.
These hotels are convenient but slightly farther from 5th Avenue and Pine: The Four Seasons, Hotel Monaco, The Crowne Plaza, and Homewood Suites.

Mayflower Park is a very will situated classic hotel with an excellent reputation. The Paramount is a newer hotel, but the rooms are on the small side. The Warwick is also worth investigating.
