Seattle - Honolulu flight

Hi there,
Just planning in advance for a trip next April to Kona. I'm searching out flights and see a price from Seattle to HNL and then onto Kona for about $450 per person. Is that a good deal or are there usually cheaper sales closer to departure?
Thanks in advance!

That sounds like a decent price to me. I thought I got a steal paying $349 Seattle/Honolulu this past January on Hawaiian Air.

Hi Seaera,

You may find it cheaper to book a flight from Seattle to HNL, and then book a separate inter-island flight (on Hawaiian or Aloha or Island) from HNL to KOA. A lof of times it's MUCH cheaper to take the inter-island leg on one of those airlines. For example, we went from Philly to Kona and Oahu, so we booked PHL to KOA and HNL to PHL on US Airways, and then booked KOA to HNL on Hawaiian. We wound up saving about $300 compared to doing the inter-island leg on US Airways. Just a thought...hope that made sense!

I think you can get a better deal from hotwire.com or better still, www.vapour2000.com . All you need do is compare prices and play with the different departure airports. I personally use vapour2000.com most of the times and sometimes hotwire. I believe you can get Honolulu for under $350.00. Goodluck!

Sure, Honolulu for ~$350 and another $100 to get to Big Island, right? That's what the poster said already.

Thanks everyone! It does seem like $450 is a good deal considering it does include the leg from Honolulu to Kona. Yay! Now the countdown begins...

I think it sounds great!! The flight Seattle to Honolulu is one of my favorites. Because it's so easy, and heck you goin' to Hawaii.

btw- there's only one "departure airport" practical for the Seattle area, so that's not a variable.

Simfunding has only posted three times so far, and every time he's managed to sneak in a link to vapour2000.com. Troll alert, or just a huge fan?

Clever! How come you didn't mention that I managed to include www.hotwire.com also. I am a fan of both. Could have included www.orbitz.com but my experience with them was not the best. You are right! I am a fan of the one who's name can not be mentioned here, I guess. I only included the url just to make it easier for those who might be interested in checking it out. I apologize if I am being of disservice to you or anyone for that matter.

>>>I am a fan of the one who's name can not be mentioned here, I guess.<<<

Voldemort?

I only brought it up because I thought, "Funny, I've never heard of that site and now I've seen it at least three times on here." Then I clicked your SN and saw that all those mentions had been from one name. It just raised a red flag. (You've also promoted the site on other travel boards, btw.)

If I'm wrong, apologies.
