Does anyone know about the Seal Harbor boat ride to Cranberry Isles or can anyone suggest a scenic boat trip to one of the islands there for a quick trip?

I don't know about Seal but you can take the Beal and Bunker mailboat from Northeast or another ferry from Southwest to the Cranberries. Check the Island Explorer schedule to see if it will work with the ferries. Of course, you could take a private water taxi, too : ) The scenic vista from the water is wonderful and the Cranberries with the new museum should be fun!
I don't know about trips from Seal Harbor, but about a year and a half ago I took a great trip out of Northeast Harbor on the Sea Princess. We stopped in Isleford on Little Cranberry, where we had time to wander around town a bit (we walked up to the quaint post office) and visit the museum, which was quite interesting. Then we went up into Somes Sound. It was really fun, and all very scenic. I'd recommend this trip highly.
