Seafood restaurant recommdation SE FL

This will be first Mothers Day in many years I will spend with my mother. She lives in SE FL and wants a seafood restaurant on the seashore. Can go anywhere from Miami north to Palm Beach for good food & right atmosphere. Her "go to" is Sea Watch if that helps. Would like something new. Price is no object and she likes to get dressed up. Suggestions? Thanks!

Too funny. I was going to suggest Sea Watch.

Sea Watch? Have you BEEN to it? It is about as far BACK from the ocean as you can get and if you are lucky you might get a somewhat decent view.

Yes, the place is tremendously popular (the parking lot in season is always jammed) and we used to go to it until the time we waited an hour and a half for our table...we were with out of town guests and that was an hour and a half BEYOND our reserved time.

But no matter, the question is obviously where that has a view.

Have you looked at 3030 Ocean at the Marriott Harb. Beach?

The Pelican Grand?

A problem I know and I AM feeling your pain on this. If it weren't for that "right atmosphere" and the liking to get dressed up I'd almost tell you to plunk down in one of those REALLY "oceanfront" places in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea but I can only imagine what she might think of her fellow diners.

Let us know what you decide.

I like the views of the Intracoastal from 15th Street Fisheries in Ft. Lauderdale:

DO NOT go to Prime Catch in Boynton.

This one is a favorite of some friends here:

I would take my mother to the Breakers -

Mainly she would really enjoy the entire experience, the location as well as the meal.

LB: Hope you are ok. I have not been to Latitude but I would not pay too much attention to Yelp reviews. But I did take a peek and see that it got 4 stars on Yelp.

You might be better off just opening the search to go to a good restaurant that is not actually a seafood restaurant; just about anyplace down here will have a couple of fish and seafood dishes on the menu.

If you want to go as far as Palm Beach, you might also look at Cafe Boulud (not on the water but in a beautiful garden). The Breakers is also a great idea, although again, I've not eaten there but have peeked in.

Breakers, Four Seasons and Eau Palm Beach would all be 'experience'. (they are all in Palm Beach County)

If you do not want to drive so far north, here is another idea, but again, I have not been:
