Scottsdale to GC

Wondering if there is a senic route to take? What to expect at 9AM early April weather wise? Any good place to eat dinner between Scottsdale and GC. Arriving early evening and staying HIE outside park. Catching GC in the AM then back to Scottsdale in the afternoon. We welcome all responses! Thanks.
