Going to Scottsdale for my 40th Birthday! We want to play golf and stay at one of the top resorts. Can't decide which one! Any suggestions?

If you're talking about the next 6+ weeks or so, just pick one and hope it's not full.
There are at least 15 Major League Baseball teams in the area for Spring Training. Plus all the media, the fans....
BTW: what's your idea of what the "the top resorts" are?
The Royal Palms Resort. We LOVE it.
Not until May
We stayed at Talking Stick. Very nice rooms, casino, entertainment, restaurants. I don't really know if it's a top resort and it's the only one I've stayed at so I can't compare it to the others but it was fine for us.
Our room was at the back of the hotel and overlooked the pool, golf course and then mountains, very pretty view. The rooms at the front overlook the parking lot.

The Phoenician.
It is too bad that two of the best holes in golf (in my opinion) were destroyed when they built the hotel.
bigtyke, where do you recommend we play golf?
