Savannah in Nov--Help!
4 of us are taking my mother to Savannah for her 80th birthday in November. We have been searching for places to stay (she has medication that must be refrigerated) and were hoping to find a 2 bedroom suite or at least adjoining rooms. Some travel agent suggested Suites on Lafayette, but I'm not thrilled with that. What about some of the privately owned homes/condos? Thanks so much!!

I was there a few years ago at Thanksgiving and stayed at the President's Quarters B&B. Each room has a refrigerator and many of the rooms are suite style, with sitting areas. I've stayed twice and enjoyed it both times; the breakfasts are delicious and can be delivered to your room each morning if you don't want to eat with other guests. If you google them, you'll be able to find their website and look at each room/suite.

I really like Planters Inn which is a Relais and Chateaux property in the middle of the downtown historic district right across from The Market and Charleston Place Hotel. The restaurants in Planters Inn and CPH are superb. PI has suites and I feel like they would place you in adjoining rooms if you inquire early enough. Good luck.

A few years back I stayed in a questhouse that was lovely but did not have an elevator. I had a walk-through President's Quarters and I beleive they did have an elevator. The rooms were very nice. You could ask about a small frig in your room.
Good Luck, Joan
