1st time to Kauai! Will not be the last!

I took a tour which met at the gate of the big cemetery downtown (Colonail Park [sp?]). It was so much fun. The guide, Karl, was dressed as a Cival War soldier. He was very knowledgable and mixed in lots of history to satisfy the history buff in me. But my g/f really enjoyed the ghost stories. The tour was called Savannah Haunted History tour. You should definitely go, and ask for Karl... it was very fun.
Our family of four (two sons, age 14 & 21) vacations in Savannah/Tybee Island every Summer, and we have had the chance to experience several different ghost tours. All of them are fun and interesting, but we put Sixth Sense among the top of those we have experienced. Beware of the more “sensationalized” tours that have people jumping out behind you for the startle effect. Other tour parties are sometimes hosted by local college students working a summer job. While very pleasant and well trained, they are sometimes lacking in a thorough knowledge of the subject matter and the history of the area.
That’s why we enjoyed Sixth Sense so much. Our guide, in addition to being a great and knowledgeable story teller, had obviously spent much of his life in Savannah (indeed, he was recognized by name by the locals almost everywhere we went!). We are very much looking forward to signing up for a Sixth Sense tour again on our next visit.

He is a magnificent tour guide and does a ghost tour. We went with him on a private walking tour and were not the least bit interested in ghost stories, but he is so enthusiastic he regaled us with them all along our walk anyway.
I would highly recommend e-mailing him for his ghost tour schedule during your visit.
