Santa Fe rental -- SteffiS, did you go yet?
Looking for rental in Santa Fe for three 60-ish couples. I did a search on this forum and found SteffiS's post about locating a rental with a pool and wondered if she already went (it was posted in September and said they were going "this summer"), how her rental worked out, and which site she used to locate the rental. If anyone else has any suggestions about websites or good areas to rent, I'd love to hear. We've been to SF before, but went by ourselves and stayed in a hotel. This time, we're having a reunion of old friends and think renting a house would be fun.
Thanks in advance.

For a week over the Christmas holiday, we found a three-bedroom condo rental in Santa Fe through Kokopelli Property (www.kokoproperty.com). The website was easy to navigate--we needed 3 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and, if possible, in walking distance to the Plaza.
We considered many possibilites, through them, other agencies, and VRBO, and were very pleased with our final choice. Bedrooms and bathrooms that we needed, handsome living areas, fireplace, terrific kitchen, two dining spaces (each with seating for eight), casual dishes and "good" china, and indoor parking for two cars.
We used the cars for grocery shopping and to get to hiking and skiing areas. We walked to the plaza, museums, Canyon Road, and concerts at the cathedral and Loretto Chapel.

You might want to check vrbo--usually lots of Santa Fe rentals there. And here are a couple of other websites to try.

Thanks to both of you. I have checked both websites you mention and noted interesting properties but was looking for personal feedback on a place someone here had actually rented. I appreciate your replies.

We have rented through private owners and rental companies such as vrbo, Kokopelli, Management Associates, cyberrentals and luxury casitas. Lately, we have rented through luxury casita. They have been very professional, returned calls and we have had a very positive experience with them. And, they were very accommodating with our pets over the holidays, too, which was nice.
Casa Venado is a new favorite on luxurycasita.com
I think it would fit your group very nicely, it has a stunning views from the covered outdoor living room with fireplace, and the house is in the foothills of Las Campanas which is a quick drive into the plaza. The views from the house are amazing and location to the plaza is a short drive.
I don't know if Fodor's allows posts of specific rentals or if you need location help feel free to email me at santafegirl247 at gmail dot com for any help.

I am going to Santa Fe next week..we will be staying in the city, and travelling about. I insisted that DH reserve me a SUV as don't know what the snow situation is, and what kind of traction it may require. Anyone out there know? We will be on country roads, in the mountains, etc...looking forward.
