San Fran Chinatown guided walking tour

I am trying to find a guided tour of Chinatown in the early afternoon, Tuesday or Wednesday (after 3 PM) with very little success. Help or recommendations are welcomed.

Thanks,
Jean

I've never heard of a guided tour, but I think that the time you are planning for is perfect. The little kids will be going from American School to their Chinese school and they are adorable! We've always just walked around ourselves, gone into to shops that caught our fancy or restaurants that looked especially intriquing. There is a bakery that has fantastic custard, but I can't remember the name! Superior Bakery? Someone else, help!

I've heard the Wok Wiz tours are best but I know nothing of her schedules.

Wiz Wok seems to be culinary tours between 10 am ? 2 pm daily, but they look interesting:

The following companies have evening walking tours of Chinatown, have you contacted them to see if they offer day tours or can recommend another company for a day tour?

We took the Wok Wiz tour recently and enjoyed it. It was in the AM, and ended with an optional lunch there. <http://www.wokwiz.com/>

We took a walking tour of Chinatown through SF City Guides www.sfcityguides.org and it was very good. It's a non-profit org through the library and all the guides ar volunteers. I don't know if they have a tour scheduled in the time period you are looking for. My experience with walking tours in general is that they usually go in the morning or early afternoon like 1pm.
