Hi everyone - Thanks in advance to anyone who answers this! I am planning a short road trip from San Diego to Monterey (and back) with stops to/from Monterey, Morro Bay (Hearst Castle) and Solvang. I'm a single woman traveling and looking for a good place to stay in each city that's not too expensive but safe. Any recommendations for places to stay/eat along the way would also be appreciated! Thanks!!
Kristine

In Solvang, a Danish colony founded in 1911, you can easily find plenty of cheap motels.
For breakfast don't miss Aebelskivers, a traditional Danish sweet in between a pancake and a doughnut, shaped as a ball and served with raspberry jam.
The best place to get them is “The Solvang Restaurant. Home of the Arne’s famous Aebelskivers“.
