It is so interesting to read your reports since your trips are so different from ours. We use Vegas for a night on arrival or departure to visit the natural wonders. Glad you got to get out to Red Rock Canyon etc. for a bit.
Loved your descriptions of the food. Thanks for the report.

I want to thank all of you for reading my TR. Next trip in process of being planned but it looks like we will be back in May.
Icuy - I use a variety of coupon including the Las Vegas Advisor. The American Casino Guide is also a good source and may be purchased directly from the publisher or through Amazon. Amazon provides free shipping for orders of $35 or more so combine it with another purchase. I frequently use Groupon and LivingSocial as well. Lastly, restaurant.com is a good source for discounted dining both on the Strip and off though you will find more off strip. Make sure you purchase when there is sale of 50%.
ziggypop - Over the years we have stayed at most of the locals casinos including GVR. I think we have stayed there 3 times and enjoyed it. In recent years we have been more likely to stay at the South Point as we love the property and location. I think on our next trip we will be staying at the Grandview which is a time share property adjacent to the South Point.
Emalloy - we have also used LAS and Phoenix to visit the area including Sedona, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion etc. when we did a lot of hiking. Those days are gone, but we still regularly visit Red Rock Canyon and the Spring Mountains.
