RV Overnight Parking near Boston

Traveling in June with a 30 ft. RV and staying one night in a Boston hotel.
Where can we safely leave the RV overnight and what might parking costs be?

In what direction will you be arriving and departing from Boston?

We parked our car in an open lot for the ICA (I think on Atlantic Ave) I don't know if you could park overnight there or not, but you could check. Most of the other in city parking we've done has been in a garage that would probably have too low ceilings to put an RV in.

I check the bus station route but campers are not allowed in the parking lots.

One of the locations in link from dfrost is so ridiculous, that it makes me question the reliability of the rest. "Harold Parker State Forest" has a campground (frequently in the crime log, but the way) - but there is absolutely no convenient public transportation from there to anywhere.

I thought of perhaps the MassPort Logan Express lots - I do not know if they allow RVs, but most have large open lots for parking and shuttles to Logan. Their website does not give more info about parking of RVs, but there is a "contact us" option at the bottom, so you might ask.

I found just what you're looking for: The MBTA station in North Quincy. 1206 spaces with no height restriction .
On Hancock St off 3A. $5 for 24 hours.
It is run by LAZ Parking which also has many other lots as well. You might have to pay for 2 spots for a 30' camper.
Check with them on their policy.

The lot at the North Quincy MBTA station does not allow overnight parking. So that won't work.

To the OP: where are you staying? The Ramada Boston, which is located a bit outside the city on Morrissey Blvd., near Rt. 93, allows RV parking. They have a shuttle that probably will bring you to the closest MBTA station, which would be the JFK Station on the Red Line. If you're interested, I'd call and double check with them.

Another possibility may be parking at the Hingham Shipyard. That would mean that you would take the commuter ferry into Boston. I don't know when you are coming to Boston, but the commuter boat doesn't run on Saturdays and Sundays and some holidays.

You can look at www.mbta.com for schedules and parking information. I would get in touch with Laz parking, who runs the Shipyard lot, to check availability and cost. And note the payment procedure, which is either by phone or through an app.

Every time I'm in the Seaport area, another parking lot has disappeared and a new building is in its place. I wouldn't leave the RV in an unattended lot nor would I try to drive a 30' vehicle there.

Also be aware that you cannot go through the tunnels in Boston if you have hazardous material in the RV (like propane).

The parking lot across the street from the Orange line Sullivan subway station (not the T lot right in front, but across the street on Broadway at the rotary) now is advertising overnight parking on their sign. It is open air (no height problem), and I have seen the occasional food truck parked there recently during the day, although not an RV. Seems like they might be able to arrange appropriate space. Not sure what security is like at night, but that would go for most places outdoors around Boston IMO.

Check with LAZ parking about overnight parking for your RV.
https://www.lazparking.com/our-company/about/contact-us
Their lots in Dedham seem to be $4 but the one at the MBTA station showed as $5 for 24 hours on their website.

The MBTA lot at Dedham Corporate station (commuter rail) does not offer overnight parking.
