Ruioso trip coming up soon-any info out there?
We'll be staying at the Inn of the Mountain Gods next weekend in celebration of my in-laws 60th anniversary. Would like some help with restaurants. I'm thinking that Le Bistro and Morsels are the best 2 choices in town. Any comments? I can't find on line menus or websites for either one and I'm hoping someone has been there recently.
Also, any tips on short drives to see some fall colors? How about some easy hiking trails that aren't too far?
Any other ideas of things to see, do and eat for a multi-generational group of 7 adults?

Ruidoso is a fantastic area. Autumn is one of its best seasons.
Something to keep in mind, if you will be there October 11-14, is the Lincoln County Cowboy Symposium, which is held out at the Casino/Race Track every year. It is a lot of fun with cowboy poets, musicians, chuckwagon cooks, western artists and craftsmen. They will have some of the best Western Swing music playing at the night shows. I think Tommy Allsup will be there this year..
As for restaurants, Casa Blanca as some excellent Mexican food. Can't Stop Smokin' has fabulous BBQ. Santinos is a great place for an Italian meal. It is Northern Italian cuisine but reasonably priced.
Have a fabulous time in Ruidoso. My congratulations to your in-laws for their 60th anniversary.
Adios,

Thanks Bit!
We'll be coming from Albuquerque, so Mexican is out of the question, but the other restaurants sound good.
Any ideas of scenic drives so that we can see some fall colors? If you are down there now, have the aspens turned yet?

Alison! Good to hear from you. I thought I had dropped you a line when we got back..... but anyway... the Garden was terrific! The whole trip was great, but we loved Levanto and the Garden. Send me your email if you want details!
