romantic weekend in october...driving distance from allentown pa

Coming up on our 25th wedding anniversary next month. Looking for suggestion...quaint small town, neat stores, maybe a winery or two. Need suggestions on a destination as well as a place to stay. Would like to keep the hotel oe b&b to under $150 per night if possible. Oh...Allentown is about an hour north of philadelphia if that helps. Would like to keep the xrive to three hours or less. Thanks.

I'd pick Princeton over New Hope, having been to both.

Lots in the Finger Lakes.

Eagles Mere, PA has a wonderful inn with great, local food.

We have gone to Cape May for our October anniversary and have experienced many warm, golden days at that time of year.

Hi everyone - still haven't decided what we are going to do. I thought we had settled on the Finger Lakes but having trouble finding a place to stay in our budget ($200 / night) and most places are already fully booked. So, now you know that's the kind of area we like, please keep the suggestions coming!

The Jersey Shore has off season rates and you are on the Ocean... pick a town and explore...

First of all, congrats on your 25th!

I presume you've already been to B&Bs in the Lancaster PA area.

We spent one of our anniversaries here:

Note that there have been 115 reviews of the place: with 113 giving it five stars!
