Romance in New England

Jump to last reply

You may want to focus your search
on Rhode Island, where there are
many lovely New England towns
and romantic inns. In Newport,
consider the Cliffside Inn (2
Seaview Ave., Newport, RI 02840,
tel. 800/845-1811), overlooking
the ocean and close to Newport's
Cliff Walk. Seven of the inn's 13
rooms have fireplaces. Another
Newport favorite is the Francis
Malbone House (392 Thames St., Newport, RI
02840, tel. 401/846-0392), a 1760 yellow-brick
mansion across from the harbor. Many of its rooms have fireplaces, too.
Have a good weekend.
