I have been to many places but two years ago I went to western Wisconsin just east of
La Crosse. ( went back 4 times since) I found Percheron Paradise Romantic Hideaway a
place built for couples only. This was like no other place I have ever been, with their
whole concept being privacy for couples. And that it was, we sat in a Jacuzzi by a Hugh
window watching the sun set. Each place can not directly view another. And each Chalet
had everything we could ever need full kitchens, showers for two and our first trip the
building we stayed in comes with a four wheel drive Jeep to get you there.

By the third stay (each in a different Chalet) we finally ventured out to view the area.
What we found was Amish, the grand Mississippi, tons of hiking, bike trails, horse back
riding, canoeing many rivers and different shops sprinkled around the country side. One
of the best parts of each trip was the fact that the entire area is non commercialized like
Door County or Galena. The fact that we saw no over priced shops or country side
plastered with sings trying to get you to buy was so refreshing that we are now spoiled.

For a romantic getaway I would HIGHLY recommend the area and if you want to put
frosting on your trip check out Percheron Paradise. It truly is a gem in the heart of God’s
country.
