Rockport Texas eats and sights?

Hi, we're driving down to the Texas coast next week for a few days; my husband plans to fish, but I am looking for shopping, eating, walkingand general sightseeing suggestions. Nothing too fancy _ we will have our eight-week-old son on his first vacation! We already have a rental cottage so we don't need ideas on that. Thanks....
