Multigenerational family coming from KY ( flying to Portland) for a week together on Oregon's coast. I have found two houses that will accommodate us that I can afford. One is on Arch Cape and the other is on Rockaway Beach. We love nature and will spend a lot of our time outside hopefully exploring tide pools, etc. Any recommendations on which beach would be the better location? Your help will be appreciated. I really want everyone to enjoy the time being together, and it is our first time to beautiful Oregon. Thanks!
Rockaway Beach or Arch Cape???

Rockaway Beach. It's more accesible to other things in the area. Arch Cape is a more remote location.
I would opt for Arch Cape. It is less than 10 miles to Cannon Beach, which has so much to offer, especially for a multigenerational family. There is Haystack Rock (great tidepools) and Ecola State Park there in Cannon Beach. Lots of great shops and restaurants as well. Just to the south of AC is Oswald West State Park and the town of Manzanita. Manzanita has a huge beach and is a nice town, but not too big.
I hope you have a great trip here. If you need anything else, just ask.
