Road trip Las Vegas to Taos (then side trip in CA)

Jump to last reply

Hi there. Looking to do road trip in June 13 from LV to:
- Grand Canyon (1 nt)
- Mon Valley (1 nt)
- somewhere between mon valley and Taos (1 or 2 nts)
- Taos (1 nt)
- SAnta Fe (1 nt)
- ABQ (4 nts)
- flight to LAX
- LA (2 nts)
- Beach near LA (1 nt)
-Palm Springs (1-2 nts)
- drive back to LV to catch flight back to UK

I am having difficulty deciding how to get from mon valley to Taos. I used to live in NM so I am probably looking to avoid Farmington stop over (no offence!). Thought about Durango or Chama. Has anyone got any cool suggestions particularly any gems of places to stay. Do you think the distances are manageable with the 1 nt stops or will we be exhausted?!.

Also any suggestion for the CA part of the trip would be welcome.

Cheers
