We would like to make a road trip from Pella, IA to Niagara falls (US side) during the Memorial day weekend. Is this trip doable in 3 days? Could any one please help me in planning the trip? Any suggestions on preferred stop on the way to Niagara?

I think it's a major mistake not to see the Falls from the Canadian side. the views are much better and there are activities you can't find on the US side. Also, although the town on the Canadian side is a little honky tonk in sections - it's way more pleasant than the US side - which is basically a depressed area - and to be avoided - not a place to stay.
If you are limited to the US side, you could stop anywhere between Chicago and Cleveland... traffic will be heavier so try to go longer on Day 1...
There is a huge Amusement Park at Cedar Point,Ohio if you are looking for a stop and wish to stop there... plenty of motels and hotels nearby...
Then drive the remaining 4 hours to Niagara for a day and a half hitting the main attractions...
There is a 15 hour drive each way, but if you like roadtrips or get an extra day, it could be done...
I think it's a crime for you not to go to MAPQUEST and do a little research on your own first.
@nytraveler: I know Canada side would offer better views, just don't want to get into the complication of getting a visa.(don't have a pasport!)
@garyt22 thank you for the suggestions
