Does anyone have any suggestions for small inns ($125 to $175 per night) in the Newport, RI or Ogunqui, ME areas? My husband & I are planning a New England visit that already includes a 5 night stay in Falmouth on Cape Cod (our favorite inn there is Village Green Inn) and are interested in spending the rest of the trip exploring the coast in RI or Maine. Please reply soon, as some inns are already getting late July reservations. Thanks, Jane

You might try The Inn at Old Beach. It was very quaint (each room has a different theme - a really nice touch), centrally located, clean and the keepers were extremely friendly and helpful without being "in your face". I'm not sure how expensive it is now, but I think at the time it was in your price range. If you can't get in there, one of our bike excursions led us to the Ivy Lodge, we went in just for the heck of it. It, too, was really nice, however, it might be a little expensive. Good Luck and Happy Vacation!
P.S. If you like mexican, there was a really great mexican place where all the shops were, but I'm sorry, I don't remember the name.
