Returned from Sedona
I would just like to say my husband and I returned from Sedona yesterday. We were there for one week and stayed at Los Abrigados. The location is awesome and cannot be beat. You can walk to restaurants and shopping. The grounds are lovely. Some of the rooms are dated but were clean. We did not stay in the rooms that much. Sedona is beyond breathtaking. I find it hard to leave. It is a gorgeous area.
We did the Pink Jeep tour. Awesome. We did the Grand Canyon on a tour. It was also wonderful and a long day, but totally amazing. We also went on our own road trip to Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon. Bryce is something one has to see to even imagine. We also stayed one night in Las Vegas to rest up. We stayed at Treasure Island and just relaxed at the pool.
Sedona is a place I will love to return one day. It is such a spiritually filled place. I believe you can actually feel something there. It is just amazing scenery. I love the Chapel of the holy cross. Interesting history as well.

Nannibray,
sorry I was not clear on that at all. We flew into Phoenix on Saturday. Rented a car from Dollar rental. Drove to Sedona. Left Sedona early Tuesday a.m. went to las Vegas Treasure Island. Rested at the pool, had a nice dinner. You can see a show if you like. We have seen quite a few, so we just walked around. Went to bed early as in 10 p.m got up early had breakfast. Left Wednesday a.m. for Zion National park. Drove through one entrance and out the next. You can also stop and take pictures etc.
Left Zion and drove to Bryce Canyon. We got out of the car there, and took pictures. Now if you want to do hiking etc. time does not allow unless you spend the night. We did not we just wanted to see it and that was fine. From Bryce we drove back to Sedona, Wed. night. Got back about 9p.m.and stopped for dinner on the way back.
That's not all. On Thursday a.m. we were picked up our hotel at 7:30 and went to the Grand Canyon on a tour. A 12 hour day. It was a wonderful tour. Just wonderful and we needed a break from all the driving. I don't regret the way we did it all. If you are there you might as well see all that you can. We then left on Saturday and returned the car in Phoenix and flew home. We are on the East Coast. It was a great adventure. We did 1300 miles on the car. We had a Dodge Charger. You need one with some power. We paid $138.00 for the entire week. (sat-sat) Great deal! By the way we are seniors. LOl.

We were in Sedona in April for a couple of nights. Also did a Pink Jeep Tour. It is a beautiful place and one you can return to again and again.
We had two really great meals while we were there. Lunch at Oak Creek Brewery was fantastic as well as dinner (along with a show) at Sound Bites.

I was not "wowed" by to many restaurants. I did love the "Coffee Pot." for breakfast. They can be packed to capacity and your breakfast is on the table before you have taken a sip of coffee. Excellent service! I also loved the Secret Garden for breakfast and Creekside. Excellent ambiance and coffee.
Dinner we did sound bites grill. It was very good, but a limited menu. We did the Cowboy on main street they had wonderful cactus Margaritas and a good steak. We even had Cactus fries, and rattlesnake sausage. (EWWW said my friends) We are adventurous. We ate a few Mexican restaurants and they were ok.
