Restaurants Portland,Me
I would appreciate suggestions for moderately priced lunch and dinner restaurants in, Portland. On Saturday and Sundayss in Early October. Also suggestions for activities for older adults.

What does moderately priced mean to you?
Without knowing if these will suit your budget, these were our favorites:
Holy Donut (not lunch or dinner, technically, but not to be missed)
Eventide Oyster Co.
Central Provisions
Novare Res, a beer cellar with tasty bar food and an insanely good tap list
Enjoy!

Oops, missed the part about activities. Well, again, what do you like to do?
We enjoyed taking the Casco Bay ferry to Peaks Island and walking all around the island. There are longer ferry trips you can take, as well.

We drove north and south of Portland to look at the coastline and lighthouses. We also liked walking around the town and the port. We didn't have time for the art museum, but it's supposed to be terrific and it's on our list for next trip.

It's been a few years but some of my favorites would be
Duck Fat
Eventide
The Front Room has a great local vibe
Bite into Maine food truck if they're still around Fort Williams park.
It's such a great food town on all budgets.

Even if Bite Into ME truck isn't at Fort Williams, the view of Casco Bay is wonderful. You might just like to watch the boat activity for awhile.
Duck Fat is good. If you have a car, Ken's in Scarborough is one of those huge fried seafood/paper plates kind of place. Check to make sure they are open. You can get fried clams two different ways - crumbs or battered. There are several restaurant recommendations on chowhound.com Northern New England thread. We also liked Bao Bao Dumpling House if you like Asian food.
We enjoyed the mailboat cruise of Casco Bay although a friend says we should have gotten off at Peaks.
