Restaurants on the Kohala Coast

My wife and I are celebrating our 25th anniversary on the Kohala Coast in a couple weeks. We are looking for a memorable dining experience for the big evening. We are staying at the Mauna Lani, but the Canoe House is closed on our anniversary. Right now it looks as though the Brown's Beach House is our top choice.

The Mauna Lani offers a private dinner on the beach, but at over $500 for the two of us, I'm not sure it's worth it. Does anyone have any ideas about a memorable dinner that you think out-does Browns Beach House? Has anyone had the private dinner on the beach at the Mauna Lani?
