Restaurants in Newport, RI

Hello everyone,

We will be in Newport, RI in early Ocotober. We are staying for two nights at the LaFarge Perry House. We'd love to find some recommendations for lunches and dinners. We don't want anything too too fancy just some great mid-range type places (under $20 a plate). Last time we were there (its been a couple of years) there was this great little internet cafe that had amazing pie. We heard from another friend that it closed. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Rachel

Try the Spiced Pear. Friends of mine from Connecticut really love it, and I believe it is not outrageously expensive.

I'm going first week of August.

Have fun!!!

We were in Newport in April. We also stayed at the LaFarge Perry House-we loved it.

We ate at the Brick Alley Pub and the Mooring. We liked both. The Brick Alley Pub had a great salad bar and it is right downtown. The Mooring had a great water view-the sunset was beautiful.

Spiced Pear looks wonderful but a bit spendy for us. Jack and Josie's sounds so familiar. I think that might be the place. Glad it is still open! Thanks for all of the info guys
