What are some good choices for dinner either before or after the 7 pm show? Would eating at the Dakota be a good choice?

Lucia's, in the Uptown Area of Minneapolis
Chino Latino's could be interesting.
As for Dakota, here's a review:

Eat at the Dakota. I've only eaten there once myself, but it was great.
In going through the info on the Dakota website I'm confused about the type of service during the show. Do they serve food while the show is on, immediately before, during intermission or in a separate dining room? Thanks.
Suzie-
I've heard mixed reviews of the food at Dakota. I have not dined there yet mostly due to the mixed reviews but it sounds like Marie has had a good experience. A friend of mine went and was very disappointed-- food served cold, poor service, etc. Since then, they have gotten a new chef and maybe things have improved?
Are you looking for something close to Dakota that you could walk to? Will you have a car? I love Lucia's but it will require a driving between Uptown and Downtown. Chino Latino is also fun but again, will need to have transportation.
If you are looking for something in walking distance to Dakota,
-Vincent (French): http://www.vincentrestaurant.com/
- Zelo (Italian): http://twincities.citysearch.com/profile/5573524/minneapolis_mn/zelo.html
And, still in downtown, but a little further out...
- Solera (tapas)
http://www.solera-restaurant.com/
-Capital Grille and Palomino-- these are chains so not sure if you want something more unique to MN
Vincent and Solera are probably my favorites in that area. If you are willing to drive between the restaurant and Dakota, there are a lot more options!
Have a great time!

We will have a car but I'm trying to make it simple when going to the show. I do love all the suggestions everyone has. We may try a few on the nights we have open.
This would not be convenient to the Dakota--Vincent is very good, btw--but I highly recommend Levain in Mpls. It may be my fave restaurant anywhere!
Zelo is both near the Dakota and has good food. I would go there.
Last chance! Leaving early Saturday morning. Great suggestions so far.

Not a dinner rec (although they're open), but..
You may want to try French Meadow for breakfast or lunch. It's in uptown. I think it has great character.
That reminds me--Bakery on Grand for b'fast or brunch or killer, killer sweets.
We used to eat at Dakota all the time when we lived in MSP. The jazz stage was in the bar and you could get a dining table and eat during the show. Don't know whether that is still possible in their new venue but for sure the food is good, some of the best in the Twin cities. Eating right there would be fine.
Eat at Dakota.
I would most definitely go to either Zelo or Vincent. The Dakota just got a new chef, so you might want to try it. Lucia's is excellent, but you'll have to drive to Uptown. Zelo or Vincent you can walk to.
