Restaurant recommendation near Georgia Dome
Heading to Atlanta for the ACC Tournament and would like restaurant recommendations near the Georgia Dome. Staying at Atlanta Marriott Suites Midtown so would take suggestions close to that also. Thanks for the help.

Your best bet near the Dome is to go the the CNN Center.
For inexpensive options, there's a food court.

If you don't have a Chick-Fil-A at home, be sure to try their chicken sandwich - or a chicken biscuit for breakfast.
A pricier option is McCormick & Schmick's.

There used to be a Jock's and Jill's sports bar. I wonder if it's now the Dantanna's that's at that link.
If you want a NICE dining option, try the Peasant Bistro. The owner has moved her restaurant to that location from Midtown and the food and the service at her restaurants have always been fabulous.

In Midtown, there are TONS of great options. It's really my favorite area for dining in Atlanta. What kind of food do you like and how many blocks are you willing to walk from your hotel? What price points and will you have kids with you or all adults?

Thanks for the reply. No children on this trip. I enjoy food and do not mind spending money on an excellent meal. Let's say in the $25 - $50 range per person for meal. I don't mind walking or willing to take taxi. My husband is more American minded, but I like something a little different; not necessarily ethnic. We live in an area with ALOT of good restaurants, so I prefer to stay away from "chains" and would like to try local spots. Hope this can help you narrow your choices.

Definitely try the Peasant Bistro near the Dome then.
If you like Thai, then Nan is FABULOUS and their sister restaurant, Tamarind Seed, is more reasonable. TS is at the Colony Square at Peachtree and 14th very close to your hotel.
The new W has a bar by Rande Gerber. Ultra chic. I checked out the new lobby (formerly the Sheraton) and it's a bit too urban chic/ deconstructed for me.
I LOVE the Greek restaurant, Avra, at 5th and Juniper (Juniper runs a block south of Peachtree). Great mezzes (tapas) and Greek music on Fridays and Saturdays.
If you like sushi I highly recommend Shout at Colony Square and/or Strip in Atlantic Station. There are other menu options also and including good steaks. Twist is a sister restaurant, so they ARE part of a great restaurant group, but not a "chain".
If you want a moderate place with a diverse menu then Gordon Biersch brew tavern is great. Their salads are WONDERFUL and everything on the menu is good.
There are some other highly recommended restaurants near your hotel I've not tried yet (I always seem to pick one of those three ) but I'll post those later.

Within a block or two of your hotel -
Well, of course, Park 75 at the Four Seasons next door.
Other options -
Front Page News Restaurant and Patio
South City Kitchen
Veni Vidi Vici
A bit further away, but great for breakfasts (but be ready to wait)
The Flying Biscuit
J Christophers
Ecco's has gotten good reviews, but I've not been there
And, if you want to walk to Piedmont Park (Atlanta's version of Central Park) Quattro is a good option (on Piedmont - as you walk from your hotel down the hill to the park, turn right at the gate to the park)
Okay. That's a start

The area around your hotel in Midtown has a ton of great restaurants, and starrs gave you some good suggestions.
I love South City Kitchen, which does great nouveau Southern. I would add Trois to the list, if you don't mind spending a bit for French.
Downtown near the Dome there is also a new Legal Seafoods, which borders Centennial Olympic Park just a few blocks away. There is also Ted's Montana Grill on Luckie St. (Ted being Turner, famous for his bison burgers).
