Restaurant in Hamilton NJ that isn't Rats

We will be taking a group - about a dozen people - to the Grounds for Sculpture on Oct. 20. I'd like to find someplace nearby to eat.

I've been to Rats - both the restaurant and the cafe - on the grounds. Not only is it pricey for this group but the last time I was there service was totally disorganized, though diligent about chasing the friendly ducks off the patio.

Is there any place decent for a quick bite someplace nearby.

Just off Sloan Ave is Uno's - an Italian chain restaurant that serves pizza & other Italian food. It would be less than 10 minutes from Grounds for Sculpture. There are many places in the area, including all you can eat buffets.
World Buffet on Rte 33 would be a short drive, as well. There is an Applebee's near there, also. Post back if you want more ideas, or have a certain type of food in mind... (I work in Hamilton, so I know the area well.)

thanks. Those are good ideas. I had looked up restaurants and seen Bromley Inn. Do you know anything about that place?

Bromley is a little seedier. I was there once, but don't know how it is now. I can ask tomorrow at work, and if it's recommended by the locals, I will let you know.

Bill's Olde Tavern is also an idea. Right down the road where the "5 corners" intersection is.

Stay away from the Bromley Inn.

From the Grounds for Sculpture you are less than 2 miles from the "Chambersburg" section of Trenton which is famous for its wonderful Italian restaurants.

Amici Milano is my favorite although Marsilio's is a close second. Great food, pleasant atmosphere at reasonable prices in a safe residential neighborhood.

I think both restaurants have websites.

Have fun.

thanks to everyone who replied. turns out there is a festival at the grounds this Sat and free food is on the agenda. Also that the "snack bar" is now a cafe operated out of Princeton so we will try that this time.

I will file these replied away gratefully as we go there often.

Yes, there is a fall festival on the 20th, so it will be crowded! Have fun & hope you get good weather...
