Resort spa in Martha's Vineyard/Nantucket/Cape Cod area

Planning ahead for a summer getaway and looking for suggestions of a resort with a spa in the Martha's Vineyard/Nantucket/Cape Cod area. This will be a girls getaway. Also, how far in advance do I need to book?

Thanks for help.

I can usually answer Nantucket questions, but I am stumped on this one since I am a guy and I don't even know what they do in a spa!

I assume you are looking for something like Canyon Ranch. If so, I can tell you that none of the local hotels identify themselves like that, though no doubt they can arrange gook on the face and massages and so forth. You might check the Wauwinet and the White Elephant. They are the two most upscale places on Nantucket.

If you are coming to either island between June 24 and Augusst 24, you should book in January.

Edgartown, MV

Chatham Bars Inn is outstanding and you don't have to leave Cape Cod. If you like Nantucket go to The Wauwinet. There's some great places to dine and shop on Nantucket. Good luck.

My island choice would be

http://www.whiteelephanthotel.com/

because the girls are a stroll to lively Nantucket town whereas the sister property is rather secluded.

On the Cape I would choose

http://www.wequassett.com/

although it is a drive whereas the chathamsbarss inn is a bit of a stroll to Chatham shops and restaurants

I apologize, actually, my second suggestion does not seem to have a spa option, sorry. None seem to offer a real spa and exercise experience like yoga, pilates etc

Topnotch in Stow Vermont may be what you are looking for without going full Canyon Ranch, but if classes are not part of the experience you hope for you really can't beat Nantucket for a getaway with treatments.
