Resort hotels? There are lots of really nice "luxury" hotels near Gas Lamp, but to me resort includes amenities like spa, golf, tennis etc. I can't think of any that fit my definition. What's your definition? When? Price per night?

Omni, Palomar, Solamar (last 2 are kimptons and they are having a sale if you join free loyalty club) Westin, Marriott.
Go to tripadvisor, put in your dates and indicate Gas Lamp and amenities.
Or go to booking.com.
I wouldn't necessarily use them to book, I prefer to use hotels website for making reservations.

Have a look at the Westgate. It's a beautiful property and has a fitness center and rooftop pool.

I don't know if these all meet your criteria of resort but look at
Manchester Grand Hyatt - they have an adult pool which some adults enjoy time at a pool without kids though you didn't mention it.

Marriott Marquis - could be lots of kids at the pool
Hilton Bayfront
