Rental Properties near Volcano National Park

Need your assistance need to know if anyone has any suggestions as to lodging near Volcano National Park, rental property willing to rent for 2 nights will be fine too. I checked the Volcano House and have read some reviews that are not very nice. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

We rented two nights from My Island B&B. 5 minute drive from Volcano Village and 10 minutes to VNP. We had a house, but they have since sold. They still rent rooms on their property, however. Very nice "earthy" people. Nothing fancy, but great for the $$. They have a website.

We also stayed at My Island B&B in the yellow room. The people were the greatest you will ever meet and they have some of the best landscaping I've ever seen in a B&B. There was a slight problem with bugs. We got in late on our first night and we were so tired we didn't notice. But on the second night we went around the room and killed a lot of bugs before going to bed. Although this is really not cool, I'm afraid bugs are a common problem in HI.

Why not choose Kilauea Lodge?

I'm glad olesouthernbelle brought up Kilauea Lodge. We wanted to stay there but they were full. But whether you stay there or not, at least have dinner there. It was the best meal of our trip. Reservations are recommended.

If you don't want to stay in the main house, they have numerous small cottages in the neighborhood. It's only 5 minutes from the Park!
