I am looking for a round trip from Detroit to JFK and the cheapest I can find is around $288.00 per person. I know that some carriers, such as Spirit, are not on the usual search engines, Kayak, Expedia, etc.
Does anyone know of an airline that flies this route? I need to go to JFK specifically in order to connect with an Air India flight.
Thanks,
Ginger

Some of those carriers aren't flying that route, either, so they won't obviously show up on any search engine
You could try sidestep.com or itasoftware.com or skyscanner.net
That's a good fare. What exactly do you hope to pay?
Delta does this route routinely (formerly these were Northwest routes), and it's entirely possible that it's the only airline that does the route nonstop since Detroit is a Delta hub now.
But I think you're just being unrealistic if you expect to pay much less than $250 round-trip.
Thanks, I just wasn't sure. I'm used to flying LAX to DTW for 300, so I thought it would be less since it's such a shorter trip.
You can also check LGA. A taxi from there to JFK 2 would cost you about $30.
