Redwood National Park as a day trip from Humboldt Redwoods

Jump to last reply

I was inspired by a recent thread about this area and have decided to plan something for early to mid June 2012.

We don't like to do a bunch of one night stays on road trips if possible. What I was thinking is spending three nights at the small cottage resort in Miranda www.mirandagardens.com/ and use one of the full days to explore Humboldt State Redwoods and the other day to do a day trip to the RNP. Is that doable? We don't mind a long day.

After the three nights there we'd head south and out to the coast to Mendocino or Little River for two nights before returning to our home in the Bay Area using 128 to get back to 101.

Any thoughts about the day trip to RNP?
